Usually I like to stagger them a bit but I've been working on fixing up the ones for II and yesterday I only posted one update, so. :B

LAST TIME: Moravia!

: "All that remains are the Imperial Capital of Gregminster, the Floating Castle of Shazarazade, that protects it, and the Fortress of Kwaba."

: "Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆, at this time we have liberated most of the Empire, leaving only the Imperial capital."
: "The Liberation Army is becoming comparable in force to the core of the Imperial Army, still remaining at the capital."
: "Good. We are ready. What target do we attack next? The capital, no doubt."
: "To get to the capital, we must get past the Fortress of Kwaba, commanded by Ain Gide, or over the water past General Sonya Shulen's Floating Fortress of Shasarazade." I'm pretty sure the varying spelling is original.
: "I say via the Fortress of Kwaba. We can't prepare enough boats to attack Shasarazade,"
: "That is exactly what the enemy will think. Don't worry about the boats. I will have 500 of them prepared by tomorrow."
: "500 boats!"

: "That's impossible."
: "I, Mathiu, promise they will be ready."
: "That's impossible."
: "If they are not ready by tomorrow, feel free to cut off my head." What is WITH everyone in this game expecting problems to be solved with decapitation!?

: "Hey ☆☆☆☆☆☆, the Strategist says he's sure. Let's believe him." HOLY SHIT VIKTOR REMEMBERED HIS TITLE

Fade in to Mathiu in Humphrey's room. Stick on that bgm! :D?
: "Strategist Mathiu, sir."
: "Yes, Sir Humphrey." Curious as to if he's going -dono or -sama here. Probably -dono. Mathiu calls a lot of people -dono. I forget if he ever uses -san. Pretty sure he either uses -dono or no suffix.
: "I heard that you were once in the Imperial Army. And that the Kalekka Incident was the reason you left." EVERYONE left because of Kalekka.
: "That is true. I was unable to prevent that tragedy. In the middle of the war, I discovered my own powerlessness, and left the Imperial forces. I was hoping to lead a quiet life, never to see war again."
: "I was one of the soldiers who attacked Kalekka. I have never been able to forget that incident. In my fury I attacked my own commander, and became a fugitive. That was the first time I attacked someone out of pure hatred. And I hope... that it was the last time."
: "Humphrey, this is no time to be distressed. We have a job to do. Once the war is over..."
Fade out.

Fade in. Gen walks over to Kamandol.
: "Hey, half-dead. We've got a big battle tomorrow. What are you doing?"
: "What are you doing yourself, novice? I told you not to enter my room without permission."
: [walks closer] "Geezer. You might drop dead tomorrow, so I came to see your face. Thanks to Master Mathiu's crazy scheme, I've got to work all night. I just took a little break to come see you, and..."
: "Ho ho! Then I shall brew my finest tea."
Fade out, eyebrow wiggle.

Fade in to Pahn and Cleo's room. I wonder what happens if Pahn's dead for this!
: "It's going to be a big battle tomorrow."
: "Yes."
: "It looks like Young Master has become a very important person." Hey, she went bocchan!
: "True."
: "I kind of miss him."
: "I miss him a lot."
Fade out.

Fade in to Tai Ho, Yam Koo, and Kimberly's shack. Notice Yam Koo has removed a boot. But only one boot.
: "What's the matter, Tai Ho? You're not drinking."
: "Huh? Oh, I was just thinking about tomorrow."
: "That's not like you at all. Let's have a good time tonight. Just the two of us. Until sunrise." Oho.
: "Just the two of us? Seems like there's three." Kinky.
Long pause. Yam Koo blinks a bit, then raises the hand that's not clutching a bottle and flaps it around a bit.
: "That's true, Big Brother. The three of us."
: [turns away to look at him side-eyed] "(Damn. Inconsiderate fellow)"
: [looks to the corner] "(Big Brother has a weakness for the ladies. Better stay here and protect him)"
Fade out.

Fade in to Hix and Tengaar at a bonfire.
: "Isn't the moon beautiful tonight, Hix." Well, it IS Theme of a Moonlit Night.
: "Huh? Did you say something, Tengaar? Have some of this fish. It's delicious."
: "Oh, why are you always like that?" Maybe you shouldn't date him. He's a loser.
: [steps closer] "What? Why do you look so angry?"
: "I'm not angry!"

Fade in to Flik standing in the stair well, looking out a window.
Sanchez walks in.
: "What are you doing out here, Sir Flik? You'll catch a cold."
: "Oh, nothing. Just thinking."
: "About... Lady Odessa?" Sanchez, he's ALWAYS thinking about Odessa.
: "........."
: "We have an early morning tomorrow. Better get back to bed. If you can't sleep, I have some good tea." Fuck off; he's brooding. He is a broody hen. Only Viktor keeps eating his eggs. I'm not sure what that's a metaphor for. I don't think I want to know.
: "Thanks, Sanchez."
Sanchez starts walking upstairs and Flik follows him, fade out.

Krin is sleeping. In case you were worried about Krin.
: "Mmmmmmm...... snore.... Wow... treasure... Too much to carry... Hee hee hee hee hee..."

Old dudes next to Luc's rock.
: "What do you think? Can we win tomorrow?"
: "We can. We can, but..."
: "But?"
: "Many young lives will be lost. The thought pains me."

☆☆☆☆☆☆ is in bed, but as usual some jerk has to come in to wake him up.

☆☆☆☆☆☆ gets out of bed to talk to Viktor.
: "Were you asleep? Amazing how you can sleep before a big battle. Just like a true leader. I have something to give you, ☆☆☆☆☆☆. Take it."
He moves closer.
[ Obtained steel hatchet. ]
: "This was Gremio's hatchet. I brought it back from Soniere Prison I kept it hidden away until now. I thought it would only sadden you more. But I may lose my life tomorrow, so I thought I'd give it to you tonight. ☆☆☆☆☆☆, it will be a big battle tomorrow. Many lives will be lost. But you must go on. He starts walking away, then stops. "I'm going back to my room now." And he walks a bit farther, and stops at the door: "☆☆☆☆☆☆. Let's win tomorrow."

Aha, this is the other opportunity to get Leon. However, pretty much everyone unkillable isn't a valid party member right now, even people like Cleo, so it's a pain in the ass.

Walking down to the dock ... There are ice boats all over! Milia, Gen, Flik, Kamandol, Tai Ho, and Kasumi are waiting.

Fade out to the war room. This is now when Leon's unobtainable. Get him before Moravia, plox; it's a pain in the ass before Shasarazade. Still no music, btw.
Mathiu is standing in the middle, and Lepant, Kasumi, Humphrey, Viktor, Flik, Liukan, Sanchez, and Cleo are lined up to the side.
: "As promised, we have prepared 500 boats. We now await your orders, Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆."

: "Wait a moment."
: "Yes sir. But please hurry, or the ice will melt."

: "Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆, this is the turning point of the war."
: "Master ☆☆☆☆☆☆... I'll do my best. So please watch me." You're still not wearing pants, are you.

This fight is 17000 vs 18380, btw.
... Wait, what. Max + Sancho + Qlon (I like how Qlon is there.) is a stronger unit than Lepant Family. Okay!
I find it interesting that Sonya has Sonya's Magic and Sonya's Charge, while most generals just have things like Milich's Attack.

Welcome to Shasarazade! Over by the entrance are Viktor, Mathiu, Sanchez, Liukan, Flik, and Humphrey.
: "Unload the oil barrels! Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆, we will burn this fortress down with oil. To do so, you must go and close the floodgate at the far end of this fortress. As soon as it's closed, we'll pour the oil and set the fortress on fire." I like how you're not saying you'll let us out first.
: "At the far end of the fortress?"
: "Yes. Kasumi has already scouted the area. Please choose your men."
: "☆☆☆☆☆☆, let's get going."
: "☆☆☆☆☆☆, Humphrey and I are going to pursue the survivors!"
They go walk off back towards the boats.
: "My hands are full with the injured." Yeah, because you were totally my first choice.
Went with Viktor / Hix / Pesmerga / ☆☆☆☆☆☆ / Clive / Cleo!
: "Please be careful, Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆." Just don't light the place on fire while I'm in it and I should be fine.

: "Please take care. Even I, Liukan, cannot raise the dead."
: "Master ☆☆☆☆☆☆. The last bastion of the Empire has fallen."
: "Whom will you take, Commander ☆☆☆☆☆☆?"

Inside the fortress, there is no music! Only the sound of running water.

Water is wet.

There is a giant clam in Sonya's fortress.
: "There you are!" ... He was looking for the clam?
Don't use all of your magic up on the clam. Well, if you do, it's no big deal since Sonya's very resistant to magic, but you should at least make sure you still have some healing magic available. That's why I brought Hix with me, actually: he's still carrying a flowing rune.

Geeze, how much HP does this damn thing have? ... 15000. No wonder that took for-fucking-ever. Don't be me! BRING SOMEONE WITH LIGHTNING MAGIC.


: "Then I'll go close the floodgate. You wait here, ☆☆☆☆☆☆."


: "This should do. Now all we have to do is escape and burn this place down."
That chest right there contains a thunder crystal, by the by. 8D

Heal your party! Not necessarily all the way, but er. Yeah.


[BGM: Touching Theme]
: "Wait a minute, ☆☆☆☆☆☆. I must ask you something." My name is Sonya Shulen. You killed your father. PREPARE TO DIE.
She walks up.
: "Hey, you're that Imperial leader!"
: "Yes, I am the last of the Five Great Imperial Generals. I want to ask you, ☆☆☆☆☆☆. Why did you betray the Empire? Why did you betray your own father, Teo? Inciting rebellion, causing war, taking lives... is this what you call justice?" Or, in short: YOU KILLED MY BOYFRIEND. PREPARE TO DIE.
Neither of these make sense. It also makes no difference.
: "That is..."
BANG.

: "What!"


: "Why is the oil already lit? It's too early!"
: "The all-consuming flame... is this your answer? Is this what you want? You raised your sword against Teo. You will pay. Now. With your life!" But Sonya, he doesn't have a sword!
CUE BOSS FIGHT.
I'm not actually sure what she just cast. :|a Sonya is a mixed fighter/mage, though, so expect her to switch between magic and stabbing and she's good at both. Looks like she has a glaive or a guan dao or something?
[BGM: Theme of Sadness ~ Guitar Version. For those of you paying attention, that's the one that was used for Teo's death and that's it.]
: [kneeling like she just had the shit beaten out of her or something] "As I thought. I cannot defeat you."
She pulls herself up and faces away from ☆☆☆☆☆☆ and Viktor.
: "After all, you beat Teo." ... In one blow, remember.
She slowly walks towards the edge to throw herself into the flames.
: "But I will not let you defile me. I am the Empire's... His Highness's... Teo's..."
She tries to jump! But Viktor stops her.
: "Stop it, what are you doing?"
: "Can't let a pretty lady like you die. Besides, you seem to have your reasons. ☆☆☆☆☆☆, we'll take this woman general with us."
We take her prisoner!

Stepping back outside, Mathiu is on the ground with Liukan kneeling by him, Flik looks pissed at Sanchez. Humphrey's between Mathiu and Flik.
: "Master Mathiu! Master Mathiu!"
: "Master Mathiu..."
: "What happened?"
: "Are you all right?"
Flik makes a fist and leans forward.
: "Sanchez! Damn you! What have you done? Why did you light the oil before receiving orders? Answer me, Sanchez!"
[BGM: Touching Theme]
: "I'm sorry, Master Flik. I have been deceiving you all this time."
: "What!"
: "I have been in the employ of the Emperor since the War of Succession, 7 years ago."
: [leans forward, staring at the ground, twitching.] "Then you're the spy!"
: "That is right. In the ways of the War of Succession, His Majesty was a wonderful man. And like everyone else, I swore allegiance to him."
: "When the hideout was attacked and Odessa... Are you to blame for Odessa's death?!" [looks up]

Slow pause as Mathiu tries to pull himself up. Flik turns to him and lowers his sword a little.
: "Master Mathiu."
: "Are you all right?"
: "If you kill Sanchez now, and the troops find out that he was a spy, the morale of the Liberation army will plummet. Administer the punishment later. Right now, we must prepare the Army and march to Gregminster."
: "Don't be ridiculous, Master Mathiu. You're badly injured. If you move..."

: "Lady Sonya. I was always by Master Teo's side. So I understand how you feel. I also know about your personal relationship." Somehow I think most of Gregminster could figure that one out. I didn't get the impression they knew what subtle meant.
: "How dare you! Shut your mouth!"
: "Lady Sonya... Do you think Master Teo hates Master ☆☆☆☆☆☆?" Well, given that Teo is currently stuck in ☆☆☆☆☆☆'s right hand....
: "........."

Cleo walks off and vanishes mysteriously.
